What Is a Preventive Maintenance Check?
Preventive maintenance is a routine inspection and performance check of household appliances. We test each system under load, verify component behavior, and clear minor issues before they escalate.
This service is typically scheduled once or twice per year — especially for properties with older units, high usage, or critical uptime (e.g., rental properties, co-ops, and large households).
What’s Included
We perform the following tasks per appliance (washer, dryer, dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, etc.):
- Inspect wiring, connectors, and housing for wear
- Check sensors, thermostats, and relays for correct response
- Run diagnostic cycles (when supported by the model)
- Clean drain filters, vent ducts, and fan grills
- Confirm temperature ranges and cycle times
- Verify water, gas, and electrical connections
- Lubricate or re-seat moving parts (as applicable)
When to Schedule
We recommend scheduling this service:
- Before seasonal temperature shifts (spring/fall)
- After tenant turnover in rentals
- Before warranty expiration on newer models
- If no service has been performed in the past 12+ months
Result
You get a full technician report with status notes, potential failure points, and a list of appliances operating outside normal spec. If any part is likely to fail, we quote it immediately — no upsell, no delays.
This is not a cleaning service. It’s a system-level diagnostic performed on live equipment.
