Why Dryer Vent Cleaning Is Required
Over time, lint and debris accumulate inside the exhaust duct of your dryer. This slows airflow, overheats the unit, and becomes a serious fire hazard.
In New York City, most dryers vent through narrow, shared, or long ducting — which clogs faster than standard installations.
Signs You Need a Cleaning
- Dryer takes more than one cycle to dry
- Unit gets excessively hot during use
- Burning smell during operation
- Lint visible around vent outlet
- No recent maintenance (over 12 months)
What We Do
- Disconnect dryer and inspect ductwork
- Use mechanical brush system to scrub vent walls
- Vacuum debris from inside, including wall elbows and joints
- Check exterior flap or wall cap for free movement
- Reconnect and verify airflow post-clean
For rooftop or shared multi-unit vents, we offer visual scope check and coordination with building maintenance (if required).
Result
- Faster dry cycles
- Lower energy usage
- Reduced fire hazard
- Less strain on motor and heating element
Note: Dryer vent cleaning is not the same as cleaning the lint screen. We service the full duct from inside the appliance to the wall or exterior.
